AR Glass for Real-time Live Transcription: Empowering Deaf Individuals
VISIONX
AR Glass for Real-time Live Transcription: Empowering Deaf Individuals
Here’s a concise overview:
◌Objective: Our mission was clear: to bridge communication gaps for the deaf community. We aimed to create an Augmented Reality (AR) Glass system that provides real-time speech-to-text transcription during live conversations.
◌Key Features: Customized Design: Our AR Glass was tailored to meet the unique needs of deaf individuals. Seamless Interaction: Wearers can engage in conversations without missing out on spoken content. Cloud-Based Speech Recognition: We harnessed the power of cloud services for accurate transcription.
◌How It Works: The AR Glass captures audio input using built-in microphones. Cloud-based speech recognition algorithms process the audio in real time. Transcribed text is overlaid onto the wearer’s field of view, enhancing communication.
◌Applications: Live Conversations: Deaf individuals can participate fully in discussions, meetings, and social interactions. Education: Real-time transcription aids learning in classrooms and workshops. Workplace: Enhances productivity during team collaborations. Healthcare: Enables effective communication with medical professionals.
◌Future Directions: Customizable Display and User Interface. Exploring additional features like sign language translation.
